We were commissioned by Coinworks to design and make a box to safely store and display Australia's Number One banknote - the first ever banknote of the Commonwealth of Australia - Serial Number M000001, issued 1 May 1913
This box is made from rare Tasmanian Myrtle Burl veneer, with Huon Pine detailing.
The banknote is safely stored between glass in a frame that allows it to be seen from both sides.
A small drawer holds some documentation related to the banknote.
